Twilight at Taronga Summer Concert Series is taking place from Friday 7 February until Sunday 9 March at Taronga Zoo. Gates open for each show at 6pm and shows finish around 9:30pm. Daytime show gates open at 9am and shows finish around 12pm.

Traffic may be heavier than usual approaching Taronga Zoo when concerts are taking place. Motorists should allow extra travel time on roads approaching the Zoo including Military Rd, Bradleys Head Rd, Athol Wharf Rd and Whiting Beach Rd.

Traffic controllers will be on site managing parking and traffic flow along Bradleys Head Rd at the Zoo car park.

The Supercars Sydney 500 at Sydney Motorsport Park in Eastern Creek from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 February. Event starts at 11:35am on Friday, 11am on Saturday and 9:05am on Sunday.

Motorists should allow extra time on the Great Western Hwy, M4 Mwy, M7 Mwy, Wallgrove Rd, Chandos Rd, Horsley Dr and Ferrers Rd approaching Eastern Creek over the weekend.

Limited free parking will be available at Sydney Motorsport Park. Access is via Gate D, off Ferrers Road.

• No through-traffic will be available on Driver Avenue, however access to EP3 grass car park and drop-off areas maintained from Lang Rd. Car park open from 4.35pm. EP2 car park will not be open for this match.

Special event clearways will be in place on roads in Moore Park and surrounding areas from 3pm to 11pm on sections of Albion Street and Moore Park Road, and from 6am to 11pm on Cleveland Street and Fitzroy Street.

Motorists should also exercise caution as pedestrian activity will be high on roads between Parramatta Interchange and the stadium. 

Be patient leaving car parks as traffic will be heavy and follow the directions of traffic controllers and Police.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on James St, Perry St, Balmain Rd, Mary St and Glover St as attendees travel to and from the event.

A section of Mary Street may close before the game and will reopen when crowds have cleared the area. Traffic will be detoured via Chapel Street while the closure is in place.   

Motorists requiring access to other venues in the park should use either Maliyawul St or Glover St.

Green Day – The Saviours Tour at ENGIE Stadium on Monday 3 March. Show starts from 6pm. Finish around 10.45pm.

Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as around 50,000 attendees travel to and from the event with another concert on at the neighbouring Qudos Bank Arena at the same time.

Motorists should allow extra travel time on roads including the M4 Mwy, Homebush Bay Dr, Concord Rd, Lane Cove Rd, Parramatta Rd, Centenary Dr and Silverwater Rd.

Up to 10,000 people will take part in the annual St Patrick's Day Parade travelling north along Pitt Street from Martin Place at 11am to finish at Alfred Street at Circular Quay at midday.

Road closures and special event clearways will be in place around Sydney CBD and The Rocks to support the event.

Pitt Street will be closed between Alfred Street and King Street from 10am to midday.

Other roads will also be closed between 10am and 12pm midday to support the event including:

• Sections of Hunter St, Loftus St, Loftus Ln, Spring St, Reiby Pl and Custom House Ln
• Grosvenor St/Bridge St will be closed between Lang St and Loftus St.
• Sections of George St and Essex St will be closed.
• No access to Pitt St from Bulletin Pl, Angel Pl, Curtin Pl, Bond St, Abercrombie Ln, Hunter St, Underwood St, Dalley St, Hunter St or Hosking Place.
• The cycle way on Pitt St between Hunter St and Underwood St will be closed from 10am to 12:30pm
• A section of George Street will be closed for The Rocks Market from 6am on Friday 14th March to 12 midnight on Monday 17th March.

Hundreds of thousands of spectators will line the streets to see the Mardi Gras Parade travel from Hyde Park to Moore Park via Oxford St, Flinders St and Anzac Pde from 7.30pm to 11pm. Pedestrian crossing of Oxford St and Flinders St will be available until 7pm only.

Major roads will be closed between 3.30pm and 2am. Motorists are urged to avoid unnecessary travel in the CBD and Moore Park and to expect delays as traffic will be heavy on detour routes. Motorists travelling between the city and eastern suburbs will be diverted via Cleveland St in the south or via William St and Darlinghurst Rd in the north. 

Key road closure timings

• From 3:30pm to 1am: sections of College St, Wentworth Ave, Goulburn St and surrounding streets.
• From 4pm to 2am: Flinders St northbound lanes from Moore Park Rd to Oxford St, sections of Bourke St, Albion St, Campbell St, Forbes St and Foley St.
• From 5pm to 1am: Liverpool St westbound, sections of Nithsdale St, Clarke St and Commonwealth St. Local managed access maintained for residents on Reservoir St, Commonwealth St, Riley St, Campbell St and surrounding local roads.
• From 5pm to 2am: Oxford St between College St and Darlinghurst Rd, Albion St between Crown and Bourke streets, Flinders St southbound from Oxford St to Moore Park Rd, Crown St between Albion St and Burton St, South Dowling St between Oxford St and Fitzroy St, and Anzac Pde between Moore Park Rd and Lang Rd, including the Eastern Distributor Randwick exit. Other roads adjoining Oxford and Flinders St will also be closed.
• Anzac Pde and Oxford St detours: From 5pm all citybound traffic on Anzac Pde will be diverted via Cleveland St or Lang Rd, and all citybound traffic on Oxford St will be diverted via Darlinghurst Rd.
• Eastern Distributor closures: Eastern Distributor (ED) Anzac Pde Randwick exit will be closed from 5pm, and there will be no access to the ED northbound from Anzac Pde. Entry to the ED maintained until 6.30pm via Moore Park Rd. After 6.30pm, access the ED via South Dowling St. The ED Moore Park Rd Bondi exit remains open at all times.
• From 6.30pm to 1am: Moore Park Rd westbound from Oatley Rd to South Dowling St, including the ED entry ramp, Greens Rd, Driver Ave and local streets.
• Contingency road closures between 9pm and 11.30pm approx (at the direction of NSW Police): sections of Elizabeth St and Castlereagh St between Market St and Goulburn St may close to allow crowds to safely leave the CBD.
• Sections of Patterson Ln, Short St, Hill St, Floods Pl, Marys Pl and Short Pl will be closed before and after Parade between Fri 28 Feb and Mon 3 Mar. Managed access for residents will be maintained when possible.

Special event clearway parking restrictions will be in effect on roads along and surrounding the parade route from the city to Moore Park from 6am, Saturday 1 March until 2am, Sunday 2 March including Oxford St, Flinders St, College St, Wentworth Ave, Park St and Liverpool St.

Knotfest Music Festival at Centennial Park from 10:45am to 10pm approx.

With around 20,000 fans expected traffic will be heavier than usual in the area. Motorists should expect delays on Anzac Pde, Lang Rd, Oxford St, Syd Einfeld Drive, Darley Rd, York Rd and Alison Rd. The precinct will be busy throughout the day and night with a Race Day on at Royal Randwick Racecourse during the day and a Super Rugby game at nearby Allianz Stadium in the evening.

From 4:30pm to 11:30pm: Driver Ave between the southern turning circle and northern turning circle 

From 8:30pm to 11:30pm
